To export a game, navigate to a project in the Workspace Explorer and select Build from the drop-down menu.
If you do not have the Pro Tools installed, Pixel Vision 8 will create a
.pv8 file for you in a builds folder.
Once the PV8 disk has been created, you can navigate to the build folder to see the disk that was created. You can mount the disk by double-clicking on it. It’s important to note that you can only have 2 disks mounted at one time. The new disk will replace the last disk if two are already mounted.
Once the disk is mounted, you can open it up, run it, and even modify it just like any other PV8 disk.
When you are ready to share your game, simply navigate to the Build folder on your computer. From there, you can upload the
.pv8 file to your site to let others install and play the game on their own copy of PV8.
